Ep. 014 | In His Image - Male - Pastor, Priest, Shepherd

Masculinity is under attack in our world today.  In fact, it has always been in the crosshairs of our enemy, the devil.  And he is a mastermind in counterfeiting something good and convincing us that his version is better.  One extreme counterfeit masculinity is "Andrew Tate Masculinity"--a worshiping of worldly appetite-driven masculinity--, and the other extreme counterfeit masculinity is "Ross Morales Rocketto Masculinity"--a worshiping of worldly emasculated and effeminate masculinity.  But after God created the first man and woman, He saw that "it was very good" (Gen. 1:31).  So TODAY on the RI Podcast, we'll look at Redeeming a Biblical view of Godly Masculinity...........because the enemy knows that the most dangerous threat against the kingdom of darkness is a born again, set free, Spirit-filled man of God who not only knows his identity and God's purpose for his life but also actively lives it out on a daily basis!  Let's jump in!

Ep. 013 | In His Image - Male and Female - God Didn't Make a Mistake

If time travel were actually possible and you were to go back 30...20...even 10 years and tell people that one of the most controversial verses in the Bible would one day be Genesis 1:27, people would laugh at you and tell you "YOU'RE CRAZY!  Haven't you watched Mr. Rogers? Boys are boys from the beginning. Girls are girls right from the start. Only girls can be the mommies. Only boys can be the daddies."  But fast-forward to today...2024...Genesis 1:27 is considered "hate speech", and people refuse to answer the simple question "What is a woman?"  
 
On this episode of the Redeeming Identity Podcast, we'll address this controversial topic and see that God is not and has never been confused about gender and sexuality.  And that even if you or I find ourselves confused and lied to, God can redeem us and we can celebrate along with Him that he created both males and females in His image, distinctly and separately, on purpose for His purpose, and that He never made one mistake.

In this episode, we welcome our FIRST EVER special guest, Dr. Georgia Purdom, Vice President of Educational Content at Answers in Genesis and Co-Author of Crafted by God (from fertilization to birth) to discuss the details of what it means that God created each of us "fearfully and wonderfully" "in His image".  The process of reproduction and fertilization is truly an undeniable miracle down to the molecular level.  Once you listen to this interview, you will truly see that life indeed begins at conception and that gender is not a social construct but something God solidifies when our unique DNA is formed by Him.

In His Image - Chosen and Predestined

In this episode, Aaron and Meagan kick of the second leg (series) of the Redeeming Identity Journey.  We're calling this series "In His Image", and on this first part we'll discuss the first and most important Biblical truths that we must build our identities with once we've established the solid foundation of a true Biblical view and understanding of who God is (See Episodes 09-10).  
Today, we'll embark on finding the answer to the age-old question "Who am I".  The good news is that God already knows who each of us are.  In fact, he already spoke an identity over each of us before we were even born.  Let's find out who He says we are.

Redeeming a Biblical view of the WORD

In this episode, Aaron and Meagan discuss the second part of the Redeeming Identity Journey: Redeeming a Biblical view of the Word of God (and a Biblical Worldview).  Just as we must redeem a Biblical view of who God is, we also must redeem a Biblical view of God's Word before we take a look at seeing our identities redeemed.  Let's get back to a place where God's word is FIRST and CENTRAL in our lives.

On this episode, Aaron and Meagan recount the events surrounding his (Aaron's) mental health breakdown that occurred during the summer of 2020.  We'll not only hear about how he ended up in TWO "psych wards" in a catatonic, suicidal state, but also about how God miraculously rescued and restored Aaron from a place of utter darkness and death to a place of healing, freedom and being "in his right mind".
